» Printing Material

Advertisers and/or agencies must supply either of the following materials for advertisements:

1. Complete ad supplied electronically on Zip or CD with color proof. We work in a Mac format and request files in either Quark 4.0 or Illustrator 8.0 (or lower). Files must be 4 color process (unless requesting additional color) with crop marks. All fonts (True type fonts are not acceptable) and images (supplied as TIFF or EPS at 300dpi or higher) should be included. Please trap or knockout all colors prior to flight check. We will not be responsible for overlapping colors.

2. Film-screened negatives, right reading, emulsion down (150 screen). Film should be enclosed in corrugated cardboard and shipped with at least one complete set of color proofs. Conversion material should be tissue-slipped and then enclosed in corrugated cardboard.

Any cost incurred by Ariba for advertisers who provide other or incomplete material will be billed.

Release of Materials

Material cannot be released until after the issue date. All materials will be held for one year and then destroyed unless written notification is given to the production manager.

Payment Policy

Payment must be made within 30 days of invoice date. Recognized advertising agencies will receive a 15% commission on gross rate. Invoices not paid within 30 days forfeit commission. There is no cash discount.

Insert Requirements

Two samples of the insert must be attached to the insertion order; all inserts are subject to approval. The Publisher reserves the right to limit the number of inserts per issue. A quantity of 55,000 inserts should be supplied.

Insert Stock Weight

80 lb. maximum, 50 lb. minimum

BRCs

Should measure minimum 3 1/2" x 5" and be printed on 75# hi-bulk stock.

Acceptance of Advertising

All contracts and insertion orders are subject to the terms and conditions of this rate card. No conditions, whether written or verbal, or that appear on contracts, insertion orders, or special instructions that conflict with this rate card or the advertising policy of Ariba shall be binding on Ariba.

Publisher's Protective Clause

The publisher reserves the unrestricted right to accept or reject any advertising. Advertisers and advertising agencies assume liability for all content of their advertisement, and assume responsibility for any claims arising from such advertisement that may be brought against Ariba, Inc. or its publisher, K. I. Lipton, Inc. If Ariba magazine unintentionally or inadvertently fails to publish an advertisement, the insertion order is invalidated; the earned frequency discount will not be affected.

Cancellation of Advertising

Insertion orders, whether issued by a company or its designated representative/agency, are binding after the closing date on the advertiser or representative placing the order. No cancellations are accepted for cover positions. All cancellations prior to closing must be made in writing; cancellations after the closing date are subject to the Publisher's approval.
